HAIRITAGE

and social media

Using the few clips I had, I made some short form video content that I posed to my personal social media. I managed to gain [as of 09/04/2023 18:04PM] an amazing 2.4k views with 450+ likes, across both videos. Some of my favourite comments include:

For me, the future of Hairitage involves multiple approaches that aim to promote Black culture through a variety of these educational AR projects.

For Hairitage, showcasing this project through school and art gallery exhibitions is the next goal. As an artist one of my dreams is to have my art featured in galleries or to be able to hold my own professional exhibitions. But as this is educational project and not just artistic along with my experiences in school, I thought it would be beneficial to have my work presented in schools particularly secondary education. These exhibitions will provide a platform to spread awareness and promote acceptance within schools and then workplace.

Another aspect includes creating additional projects that showcases other features of black culture such as music, art, fashion etc. within both genders promoting diversity and inclusivity, as well as celebrating the richness of black culture and its impact on our world today.

For

these ideas to become possible funding will be sought for the development and to support research.

As Hairitage grows and I explore more topics, I plan to create social media accounts to push content dedicated to the work. For this project, I used my personal social media account as it has the most audience reach and engagement.

In the questionnaire I asked "What other topics related to Black history or culture would you be interested in learning about using augmented reality or immersive tools?" The first five answers as shown and provide a basis for future topics I could explore using Augmented Reality.
